Posted : 2 weeks, 5 days ago on 4 June 2017 09:39 (A review of Anomalisa)

Adult, tender, simple, straight to the idea, pragmatic (just having all women talking lke men and the one talking womanly, is enough) puppet fantastic realistic stuff.

The Prize review

Posted : 2 weeks, 5 days ago on 4 June 2017 09:36 (A review of The Prize)

Light Nobel winner in a jamesbondish intrigue; pretties blonde Sommer and brunette Diane Baker, and two faced EG Robinson. Robson is effective, not more.

Into the Inferno review

Vulcanoes are the pretext for visiting strange lands and ¬°what a breaking documentary¬°, even North Korea. Just fot the imagen in that country, the doc is worth seeing and devouring.

Letter from an Unknown Woman review

Ophuls at his best of two worlds. Hollywood straight to the facts storytelling, with european decadence (musical and of manners and honor), and wonderful filming. Jourdan is the real unknown, Fontaine is everything.

20th Century Women review

Posted : 1 month ago on 21 May 2017 08:41 (A review of 20th Century Women)

Mills tries hard to look natural, testimony a the women's lib generation, selfdestructive vital characters, and a boy surrounded by all that women stuff.

3 notti d'amore review

Posted : 1 month ago on 21 May 2017 08:38 (A review of 3 notti d'amore)

A deception, even Spaak is radiant. Castellani tires to be comic and dark ans is helped by Salvatori ans sicilian maffiosi clises. Comencini has a one enlarged and simplified idea (she goes fot the priest and becomes nun when he goes for her), and Franco Rossi is a second Risi. Bah

Passengers review

Posted : 1 month ago on 21 May 2017 08:31 (A review of Passengers)

Simple, effective, I prefer this to "The arrival". The guilty plot of waking up a girl to be condemned in a voyage, in bigger than the film itself; but set desing makes a world apart.

Fences review

Posted : 1 month ago on 21 May 2017 08:26 (A review of Fences)

Honestly, I think Wilson is a little overrated. I don't think Denzel is too teathrical, I think the play is too classy even with its deep broken characters.
