Paterson review

Posted : 2 months, 2 weeks ago on 2 November 2017 02:00 (A review of Paterson)

Once I went to Paterson and saw nothing of what I see through the eyes of Jarmush, Adam Drive, his caharacter and poet Williams. Would like to be back as an hommage to all them. A man in the right place...

Suez review

Posted : 2 months, 2 weeks ago on 2 November 2017 01:58 (A review of Suez)

So well and quick narrated that you can almost forgive the huge, abussive historiacal distortions, having Eugenia de Montijo (Loretta Young as a spanish woman¡¡) as a executive queen, de Lesseps solving a political crisis, the egiptian prince as a stupid fatty, a hurricane and torrid weather in Egypt...

Buddy Buddy review

Posted : 2 months, 2 weeks ago on 2 November 2017 01:55 (A review of Buddy Buddy)

Last Wilder and last glimpses, sparks of Wilder. Has to be the easiest way and the best men to achieve them: Lemmon and Matthau opposed as depressed husband and contract killer. What else?

En man som heter Ove review

Posted : 2 months, 2 weeks ago on 2 November 2017 01:53 (A review of En man som heter Ove)

Corny but effective, good actor, the reflection on the other (iranian in this case) and on ourselkves (swedish point of view) against dehumanization is there in a almost naif way; the 'suicidius interruptus' is too repeated...

Danger - Love at Work review

Posted : 2 months, 2 weeks ago on 2 November 2017 01:50 (A review of Danger - Love at Work)

Nice screwball, JE Grant and Premminger, can't miss. Sothern and Haley ok, but the charm, besides the only musical number with the title song in the stable; is the secondary character details, EE Horton as always, the hateful kid, the sexafraid aunties, Boland as always

Tender Is the Night review

Posted : 2 months, 3 weeks ago on 29 October 2017 02:42 (A review of Tender Is the Night)

Last Henry King, a bit washed Fitzgerald because don´t see the sexual undertones that has to bright in Robards/Jones relation. Jones a bit miscast because of her agem Fontaine is ok.

The Romantic Exiles review

Posted : 2 months, 3 weeks ago on 29 October 2017 02:39 (A review of The Romantic Exiles)

Pequeñita pero con el aliento de su título, 3 caracteres en busca de sus puntos románticos en Francia, más blablablá que acción, pero, sin querer queriendo, viven una aventura formativa.

Exotica review

Overserated Egoyan, maybe because is more erotica than exotica, and every character has a strange motifs and pervertions. Koteas is fine deceiving Bruce Greenwood.

Endless Poetry review

Posted : 2 months, 3 weeks ago on 29 October 2017 02:35 (A review of Endless Poetry)

Segunda parte de una cantada, eso espero, trilogía, que debiera acabar en París. La primera me conmovió, esta me divierte, me gana por su franqueza, por citarse a sí y a otros con nombre y apellido.
