Il testimone review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 21 December 2013 09:56 (A review of Il testimone)

They can touch some forbidden things for us, in the 70s. THa paedofilia of Noiret, and the insinuatiing girl (shw shows her breasts) to Sordi, are awesome. I thinks it was tolerated because was just the exposition of crime and subsequent plot of chasing wrong (and idiot) man Sordi.

Reality review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 21 December 2013 09:42 (A review of Reality)

A world apart for Garrone inside his own napolitan world. The trauma of being and not being in a reality show, Big Brother in this case, contrasts (I'm not sure if it is all purposedly) with colurful, vivid, vital napolitan familiar surrounding. He has friends and family, Luciano, ¿whats the matter with you?)

Totò a colori review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 21 December 2013 09:36 (A review of Totò a colori)

In fact, is a succsesion of occasions for Toto's disguising and clowning. He is excellent, as always. The best: Toot torturing deputy Trombone in the vagone letto, throwing his bags through the window and then his clothes. ¿Where are them?, asks Trombone. With the bags, replies Toto.

Madame Curie review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 14 December 2013 02:51 (A review of Madame Curie)

Too serious, but Le Roy ant the script communicates the strenous and repetitive experiments, !so repetitive that one even understands them!. Grason and Pidgeon are ok.

Édouard et Caroline review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 13 December 2013 09:32 (A review of Édouard et Caroline)

A light Becker, but good description of characters, you feel the uneasiness of Gelin, the prejudices and sametime tha liberalism of high class parisians.

One Touch of Venus review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 13 December 2013 09:21 (A review of One Touch of Venus)

It lacks the charm and stilized naiveté of fantasy comedies. Ava is alluring but not sexy enough. She look better with gowns than with the venus's robe. Walker is to childish.

Plymouth Adventure review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 13 December 2013 09:18 (A review of Plymouth Adventure)

Tracy eats the cast and the film, and he has great and furious dialogue. Weak Gene, in spite of good lines in reply to Tracy's desire. Brown is ok in the intimate scenes and in the epic.

Indian Summer review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 11 December 2013 01:44 (A review of Indian Summer)

Affected Zurlini, Delon is a wild, fresh, but nervous and romantic and generous character going around with presumably deadly Petrova. Zurlini coud be dense and intellectual as Antonioni, while being somehow vulgar. Gianini and Randone are the best.

Ministry of Fear review

Posted : 11 years, 2 months ago on 8 December 2013 12:40 (A review of Ministry of Fear )

Minor Lang because its whimsical plot, but with nice touches, when good Milland confronts its justified paranoia. The nightmarish plot turning patriotic war effort is predcitable but can´t expect anything else for a 1944 film.
