The Good Fellas of pop & rock, Clint instead of Scorsese. The script is too buy finding dramatic edges (the mafia background)but the film and its spirit is harmonic.

The 7th Lewis and Martin and the plot establishes clearly, with some dramatism between routines, who is who in the funny duette. Not so good gags but you can feel the armony and the tension of the pairing.

Touching in the beginning and ending, but slow and talkie in the middle. Sullavan is a world apart in acting, she is convincing in each inverosimile scene, and you can feel harsh Marshall smelting at her side. Owen is excellent, and Morgan, the looser millionaire has a great line: "If there´s a good fairy its me".

One of the best Altman´s. Great sense of period in the air and in the road (the radio soundtrack is precise), the lost America before new deal. Keith and Shelley make a wonderful, naif, alternative, revolutionary couple without the Bonnie and Clyde glamour. Chicamaw is a stunning brute and Uncle T a nice corrupting old man.
