(MU) Antiepic, but acumulative, fluid account of Tiradentes coming of braislian consciousness, after suffering discrimination, seeing a quilombo, wasting his life looking for gold and reading independentist books....there it ends, with no independentist action, but an intorductory voice in off explains everything...

The killer os the converted hero, the cangaceiro is the faded hero, the saint woman is the symbol of anything, the city and institutions are just there in the background. the intuitive choreographies, the archetipal secondary characters (Odette Lara, Lewgoy,the bond chief).....

(OK) Czech wonderful wave. Here Kachyna mocks on power, on naiveté of the survivals, wth a tuch of whta seem reduction to absurd, but there are the real ears. Toxic realtion man and wife is more than a bonus...

(OK) Aldrich's swansong wih excellent secuences of action in the ring choking with gender and genre. These girls are real tough. Even this a stor of winners there¿s a specal sadness in it...

(MU) Mysius adds her little 'odor touch' multiverse to this little city mountain drama interracial queer intergenerational...nice suspenseful direction...

(MU) Not too dirty greek realism, opposite to its new wave, with a too shy woman, that makes uneasy to believe her behavious in some scenes...

(MU) Great composition and set design, and great work of Elio Germano in front of the empty canvases, normalizing his psychopaties and victimization; all that overcomes its narrative flaws

(OK) When Bertolucci maybe was affected by other authors tendencies, but made them own. Brogi is fascinated by his father's character and Alida Valli is so mysterious and sexy and unpredictable....(lousy copy, can't appreciate Storaro's wonderful natural light as in the fist time I saw it)...
