Family Life review

Posted : 4 years ago on 24 January 2021 04:03 (A review of Family Life)

(OK) Loach in a thesis film, everything, even the most documenary aspects, is puto to reinforce the thesis of psycosis caused by milieu and unsufferable parents and a wrong professional approach (therés even the reunon in wich autorities cancel the correct human approach favoring the electroshocks)

Jia review

Posted : 4 years ago on 24 January 2021 03:57 (A review of Jia)

(OK) Great melodrama, familiar pariarchal saga with a conformist suffering man in the middle. The vicious ones that obbeys the patrich and the rebels are better than the conforsmist one, that, in th eclimax, leaves his wike to die in labor, outisde the city walls for attending tha patriarch funeral...

Fame review

Posted : 4 years ago on 24 January 2021 03:49 (A review of Fame)

(OK) The street dance scene, a flase climax in the middle of the film, retains its force, its 80s iconicity; but the rest of the film is cheaper. What flows is the force, the tone, the style of it , full of unknown characters...

Toc Toc review

Posted : 4 years ago on 24 January 2021 03:46 (A review of Toc Toc)

(OK) La eficacia de la popular pieza, está allí, a la que apenas se le suma, el balo y las escaleras; pero la multipsicosis orquestada por el falso doctor, tiene una vena cursi, sin locura, sin frenesí...

Soul (2020) review

Posted : 4 years ago on 24 January 2021 03:44 (A review of Soul (2020))

(OK) Gets better on earth, but the square hell/heaven/limbo stuff, weighes too much on the plot, as wieghes the duality of characters, the cat and the man....

Mistérios de Lisboa review

Posted : 4 years ago on 24 January 2021 03:38 (A review of Mistérios de Lisboa)

A Touch of Sin review

Posted : 4 years ago on 24 January 2021 03:21 (A review of A Touch of Sin)

(OK) Five uneasy pieces with easy violent solutions, including suicide. Jia is classic and an action director in a way, because there's is some intimist shared between non loving characters...

Song Without A Name review

Posted : 4 years, 1 month ago on 17 January 2021 04:20 (A review of Song Without A Name)

Posted : 4 years, 1 month ago on 17 January 2021 04:16 (A review of Faisons un rêve...)

(OK) The ending and all the proceedings are so happy (we have the eternity for us, no, we have better than that, ¡two days¡), as Guitry having what he wants...

Pieces of a Woman review

Posted : 4 years, 1 month ago on 17 January 2021 04:14 (A review of Pieces of a Woman)

(NX) Kind of tv documentary femenist approach on motherhood and loss and stereotype on what a woman must feel and deal with it; but there are fine details on directing and writing (the unfinished bridge constructed by the husband, the long violent beginning in labor)...
