Jojo Rabbit review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 5 January 2020 03:59 (A review of Jojo Rabbit)

Benigni in Hollywood, less ambitious, better inspired. 'It's hard to be a nazi' phrase in the minf of little fat Yorki, is captivating; the indefined mood is well definde in climatic mom, ents as mothers Scarlet hunging (just Jojo embracing her legs) and some others...

Dolemite Is My Name (2019) review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 5 January 2020 03:54 (A review of Dolemite Is My Name (2019))

Ok, is a good character because in his naiveté he invented or reshaped something (rappin) that was going to be used with non naive meanings; but its narrated in an too illustrative non inspired way

Uncut Gems review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 5 January 2020 03:52 (A review of Uncut Gems)

One long scream with the f word in the centre of all; a bit fatiguing, stressing, monochord in a way but the end not to be spoiled; just a few anthropological observations...

The Chambermaid review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 5 January 2020 03:44 (A review of The Chambermaid)

Mr. Sardonicus (1961) review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 5 January 2020 03:42 (A review of Mr. Sardonicus (1961))

This little hitchcockian ego of Castle, filmmaker and showmaker inside the film, is a good narrator, sober within tis limits...

The Two Popes review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 29 December 2019 03:53 (A review of The Two Popes)

Two actor accomplice/duel, two point of views on huge universal matters (the church and its dilemmas about sex abuse and power and other stuffs). Its too washed up, there's no true anger, desorientation, but is smooth and makes its goals...

Apollo 11 review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 29 December 2019 03:50 (A review of Apollo 11)

No point of view, no recollection of history or story, just the lineal account of the trip with a selection of a mountain of visual and audio information. But that's its usefullness.

Shadow review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 29 December 2019 03:48 (A review of Shadow)

Yimou is a nice, beautiful, aestitacally imaginative, shadow of whta he was decades ago. Nothing to envy Hollywood blockbusters not even based on its history. Chinese has roots.
