She Married Her Boss review

Posted : 6 years, 1 month ago on 31 March 2019 04:12 (A review of She Married Her Boss)

Some good gags in this woman's film: Claudette in the thresold with just married Douglas, or she posing as window mannequin and then drunken with Bartelett, and nice fights versus Douglas's family.

The Saga of Gosta Berling (1924) review

Posted : 6 years, 1 month ago on 28 March 2019 03:47 (A review of The Saga of Gosta Berling (1924))

Great character, epic, romantic and decadent and radical, since the beginning with the knights of Ekeby, then the defrocked priest. Women are lost by him including a lovable Greta.

The Doctor's Dilemma review

Bernard Shaw on a good topic, doctors. They all die and kill surrounded by titles and ordinary feelings. But here he has a good bunch of them.

Mary Poppins Returns review

Posted : 6 years, 1 month ago on 24 March 2019 03:53 (A review of Mary Poppins Returns)

Moved by the apperance of Angela Lansbury and Dick Van Dyke, not so by the kind of baroc musicals, even some ideas (the world inside a bowl, or the sea inside a bathtub) are good. Meryl Streep is expendable.

The Informer review

Posted : 6 years, 1 month ago on 24 March 2019 03:49 (A review of The Informer)

Too heavy on the romance, and the evil innocent woman, but well paced, dramatic close ups and movements of main characters

Greta Ozep, intense underlined by gypsy music when Dimitri lost everything to Anna Sten. The borderline evil character is wonderful...

Carmen & Lola review

Posted : 6 years, 2 months ago on 13 March 2019 01:33 (A review of Carmen & Lola)

La directora se toma su tiempo, con buena progresión, para meterse en las chicas, muy complmentarias, una mas confundida que la otra, una más sincera que la otra...
