Los silencios (2018) review

Posted : 6 years, 8 months ago on 16 September 2018 03:44 (A review of Los silencios (2018))

Los posibles estereotipos de refugiados se van transformando en algo más sutil sobre fantasmas y herencias de dolor social. Cierta plúmbea gravedad, fastidia y traiciona el paisaje y la gente.

Posted : 6 years, 8 months ago on 16 September 2018 03:28 (A review of The House by the Sea)

Ascaride, Guediguian's diva, is a nice pretxt here to see the decadence ande illusions of a bunch of intersting characters in a pretty small place not touched by Cote d'Azur commerce.

Army of Shadows review

Posted : 6 years, 8 months ago on 16 September 2018 03:17 (A review of Army of Shadows)

Melville, la vie et la mort et la resistance parmi les deux. Le fausse froideur de Ventura, le fausse douceur de Signoret, makes the only love affair in the film. The other one is with the absolut, the number one, the chief Paul Meurisse, the 'cause'.

Final Portrait review

Posted : 6 years, 8 months ago on 10 September 2018 03:39 (A review of Final Portrait)

It lacks some progression, the main character is too overpassed by Rush/Giacometti, but makes some good observation, that's his value

Matar a Jesús review

Posted : 6 years, 8 months ago on 10 September 2018 03:37 (A review of Matar a Jesús)

Poco film pero gran historia. Acaba mal, de cualquier forma en la azotea, pierde un poco de tiempo con la agitación de la chica buscando una pistola, y no con su observación del sicario de buen corazón...

Good Manners review

Posted : 6 years, 8 months ago on 10 September 2018 03:35 (A review of Good Manners)

At last, Sao Paulo has its great wolfman myth, and has nothing to envy Rio's myth power. It takes time, in order to place the story in every gap in Brasil social and racial reality.
