Lot of stories forced to be one by heavy images: magnani running and being killed while her little son is screaming, is a must. Is worth the film.

Landscape, social conflict and sordid 'non future' background, deserved something better than the Florida cop girl coming to a hard place; and too many people is dead, but a nice film all over.

Greta and simple and neat (and dark) as the plot: fate in the laps of an ambitious woman and a weak husband. I believe every line of Lizabeth, perfect housewife becoming a Tiger that intimidates Dan Duryea. He is noir, she is something else!!!

Horrible 'corny cinical' dialogues, the story and the mood play to be adult, and has involuntary humour. De Haven is ok.
