Le Mans review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 12 May 2018 06:26 (A review of Le Mans)

Rare film, small plot, lot of improvisation, lot of documentary approach not being one. Is what happens when a sat has money, team and passion to do whatever...

Rome, Open City review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 12 May 2018 06:23 (A review of Rome, Open City)

Lot of stories forced to be one by heavy images: magnani running and being killed while her little son is screaming, is a must. Is worth the film.

Wind River review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 12 May 2018 06:21 (A review of Wind River)

Landscape, social conflict and sordid 'non future' background, deserved something better than the Florida cop girl coming to a hard place; and too many people is dead, but a nice film all over.

Too Late for Tears review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 12 May 2018 06:18 (A review of Too Late for Tears )

Greta and simple and neat (and dark) as the plot: fate in the laps of an ambitious woman and a weak husband. I believe every line of Lizabeth, perfect housewife becoming a Tiger that intimidates Dan Duryea. He is noir, she is something else!!!

Faces Places (2017) review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 12 May 2018 06:14 (A review of Faces Places (2017))

Kinf of having fun with your grandmother. Agnes is so moving, and the film is so hazardous and sincere and not disruptive (sauf the visit to absent Godard)...

Robin and the 7 Hoods review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 6 May 2018 04:14 (A review of Robin and the 7 Hoods)

Really nice not too musical film on gansters. Edward G is great in his initial cameo. He doesn,t work on holidays but once, St Valanetine. Great joke on Chicago history. Frank , Dean and Bing and Sammy in Mr booze, are great.

Scene of the Crime review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 6 May 2018 04:11 (A review of Scene of the Crime)

Horrible 'corny cinical' dialogues, the story and the mood play to be adult, and has involuntary humour. De Haven is ok.

Right Now, Wrong Then review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 6 May 2018 04:09 (A review of Right Now, Wrong Then)

You see one or two films of Sangsoo, you see them all. Here is the bonus, or the minus, of having all again the same story with some variations. Mmmhhhh

Capone review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 6 May 2018 04:01 (A review of Capone)

A list of Capone and his competitors order for murders, a bit monotonous, till the end when camera stays a little bit at Gazzaraยดs mood.

The Square review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 6 May 2018 03:31 (A review of The Square)

Rare, bizarre, a bit of surreal nightmarish life in vanguard Stockholm. A prejudiced, nonsensical, victim of anripopulist cultural politics, called any momento by Yuotube Sweden because he has a trendy video he is not responsible of, the idea og the letters distributed all over the box mails of a poor builkding is great (the angry boy is excellent).
