The Black Book (1949) review

Posted : 6 years, 8 months ago on 3 September 2018 03:04 (A review of The Black Book (1949))

Grear french revolution thriller, the small budget allows the perfect equilibrium between respecto for history and entertainment and pace. Arlene Dahl better than ever helping Cummings to be a hero against Basehart/Robespierre and with a little hand by Fouché/Arnold Moss.

Tris to escape conventions, tries to be new kinf of washed evil, but Lee remick could be Dors Day involved in a crime. Too confident in police and its methods and a bit of idiot plot

Lust for a Vampire review

It's worth seeing just for the scene in wich Bates (Giles) is submissive to Mirkala inverting the cross. Sangster, even submits himself to the sexy commercial trend in Hammer, finds new ideas.

The Heiresses review

Posted : 6 years, 9 months ago on 20 August 2018 03:05 (A review of The Heiresses)
