Danny Collins review

Pacino is excellent and entertairning, he´s ahead of the corny 'irresponsaible rockstar farher meets unhealthy and unwealthy son' plot. Benning too.

The Squaw Man review

The most stagey De Mille, mostly in its first british part. It cames better with Lupe 'Naturich' Vlez but I really cann't support the compassionate paternalist ridicule misconception of indians. There´s no abnegation.there´s foolishness in Lupe's suicide and Baxter decision.

Le sei mogli di Barbablù (1950) review

Poor comedy, but the terror fantastic final sequences, with the frozen 'mogli' coming to life, have some 'adefesiera' quality. Toto is always in high clue.

The Girl on a Motorcycle review

Arty in its dreamy visual effects, in Pieyre de Mandargues Faithfull's voice in off, in Cardiff photo, in Heildelber's views, in sex scenes. Typical french sad ending.

Man's Castle (1933) review

Borzage at his best. Poetic as in silent movies, the precarious life (no house, no money, no bags, no commitments but love) makes meaningful the smallest detail, even a flower (there´s one, robbed form Connoly). Young and Tracey looking at heaven crossed by birds, through a 'windoy' in the roof, is great.

The Man Between review

Delicate in spite of location (Berlin 1953). Mason is a man between 2 connecting systems and between a marriage. Bloom is between too, but her learning, both sentimental an political, is he heart of the film.

Unbroken review

The heroism of Zamperini becomes so obvious and solemn, that seems a 'selfhelp' literatura hit. It has some masoquist moments, too, that approaches Angelina to Mel Gibson, jaja

The Producers review

It's really funny and great idea for a plot, and Mostel-Wilder makes a great duo. Just a misreading of the idea (as if it were the spirit of the film and not a plot) made this a critic flop in the beinning.

Diner (1982) review

A mofie for a 'wonderful years generation'. Everything is cute and ok. Strong performances, most in the charm side tan in the histrionic one. Guttenberg is excellent, Dan Stern fighting with Barkin over his records, lovable.

Captain Lightfoot review

Tongue in cheek adventure with irish carácter, too shallow to deal with heroism and drama; just romance and fights and little else. Well shot in Ireland, good supporting Morrow, but Not for Sirk
