Quartet review

Posted : 2 years, 1 month ago on 28 April 2023 02:15 (A review of Quartet)

(MU) Takes some time to construct the knot of characters in domintios deception plot. Adjani thinks she is strong but fells for Bates as he succumbs to her, eberybofy is victim and victimizes the other in the quartet. The idle rich in paris and the apperances shouting they are just that...

Seven Days in May review

Posted : 2 years, 1 month ago on 28 April 2023 02:11 (A review of Seven Days in May)

(Blu) Frankenheimer surprises again and again, 3rd time I vibrate with this political thriller that appears as nuclear fiction and its so human that the love letters of martini lover Ava Gardner has the same importance of a secret militar base. Great cast, excellent results with less ambiton than Premminger's "Advice and consent"

Posted : 2 years, 1 month ago on 28 April 2023 02:07 (A review of Sambizanga)

(MU) So serene, mature, epic of a prerevolutionary momento in Angola, with the suffering and making of a hero. The reactions are slow, he inteligence is rare, but there it is a natural film about all those difficult things...

Posted : 2 years, 1 month ago on 28 April 2023 01:41 (A review of The Silent Partner)

(Blu) Deserves to be a cult film, maybe it already is. Gould is at his best as an accidental hero deceiving monster Plummer in Santa and woman disguise....
