Utama review

Posted : 2 years, 2 months ago on 11 April 2023 11:27 (A review of Utama)

Women Talking review

Posted : 2 years, 2 months ago on 11 April 2023 11:21 (A review of Women Talking)

(OK) As a warning, in the credits says this a product of femminist imagination, and that doesn't mean the obvious (that it's fiction); but that characters are product of academic thought more than the situation narrated. Their doalogues, for being illetrated victimized women are impossible to match with the action...

The Whale review

Posted : 2 years, 2 months ago on 11 April 2023 11:17 (A review of The Whale)

(MU) In the first half yu thing, for moments, you've found the lost Arronofky's of "The wrestler" and "Requiem for a dream"; but disipated the extreme and good work on Franser´s obesity the theatricals of screenplay and unpredictable burning characters, bah

The Loneliest Planet review

Posted : 2 years, 2 months ago on 11 April 2023 11:14 (A review of The Loneliest Planet)

(MU) The absurd and wonders of extreme tourims aking a young couple with a georgian guide through the caucasian wilderness of Georgia. Any incident could question everything, and there´s just one in this minimalist film without touristic wonders...one of the the absurds, why Georgia?

Coffee and Cigarettes review

Posted : 2 years, 2 months ago on 11 April 2023 04:35 (A review of Coffee and Cigarettes)

(MU) Various independent sketches, of encounters with cofee and cigarrettes; tongue in cheek aproximation to real ridiculus extraordinary characters (the Alfred Molina, Steve Coogan sketch is the best), somo other wasted as the sisters played by Cate Blanchett. Tom Waits and Iggy Popp amuses themselves

(MU) So terrible that boy, the realist oght iluminatios, shadows everything; too many loose ends, nothing assures he could be a leader because he doesn't assimlate his extraordinary surroundigns

(MU) Demme, Shawn and Grggoy (as producer) manege, and amuses themselves amazingly with an Ibsen´s text. You feel it, you understand the so humnn weakness and naif scheming f the charactters...

Hustle review

Posted : 2 years, 2 months ago on 8 April 2023 02:59 (A review of Hustle)

(OK) Richesse in undertones and semitones, both romantic and cinic about Deneuve's being a whore and Reynols being a hard cop. Good ending, al delicate as moving

Pepe review

Posted : 2 years, 2 months ago on 8 April 2023 02:12 (A review of Pepe)

(OK) Never so many stars wasted (maybe in "The puppy is also a flower"), but here they have entire scenes as Robinson, Garson, Leigh and Curtis, Novay, Sinatra and Martin, Lemmon in woman's disguise, etc. But Pepe is treates with such paternalism and clisés that Cantinflas seems to be a little ashamed.
