(OK) Sidney reached the sobriety and elegance og late musicals, few long numbers as the first one in a roman swimming pool with some life in the bottom, a funny reduction to absurd of the war with Hannibal (Keel versus amused Sanders) and ambitious but smooth and easy going spectacular numbers with painted elephants.....

(MU) In the islam a woman's director film, must be a reivindicative one; impossible not to. The girl of the title wins a so small battle (having a bycicle which is not forbidden for girls, but is not usual for them) while her mother suffers his man taking a second wiefe, which is allowed, too.....

(OK) Early Wiseman's docs were shorter and condensed, He slects stories, moments and work with his real characters; all of them has good texts, all moments has 'meaningful' topics...

(MU) Little rediscovered gem. Zachary is always good, alcohol is always an extraordinary element of tension, Mary Boland redeems of her previous frivolous filmography with her treacherous Smitty, Bromberg has a goog 'peterlorrean' character...

(MU) Good main character, no sense of future, of place, of limits in the ceiling (the steawrdess collective Dream is to work in Dubai) and she even refuses to study buts has to; but somehow tender moments with passengers...

(OK) Corman amuses hismself as much as Aldric with his Grissom Gang. Winters is overwhelming, possesive, sick, horny mama, she even kisses her elder son (Don Stroud) and bathe the other adult boys. The chorus of characters is well distributed and filmed....

(MU) Strange evolution from Pawlikowski: he could get two stars (Hawke and Thomas) to this not well cooked mystery drama of a clisé writer penniless in Paris; and then thwe b/w economic wonders of Ida and Cold War!

(OK) Me gustó mas que las primeras veces que la ví, quizá la nostalgia de conversaciones con Nelson Rodríguez. Aquí están todos los picos de Solás, varios estilos, varios presupuestos, olas, ambciones, éxitos. La carga desnuda, el acercamiento a las mujeres que se desmelenan colectivamente (mas que una marca de estilo en el primer y más radical y subversivo y trágico segmento); el segundo es el más íntimo y delicado, como el rostro de Eslinda Núñez, que también me da mucha nostalgia); el tercero me creció luego de la última vez que lo ví, Llauradó está muy convincente y creíble como el macho, Adela Legrá no volvió a brillar...

(MU) The american Kaurismaki, Jarmusch has 2 wonderful not so losers buddies in asexual love with Eva, hunging with her in cold Cleveland then going to separte accidentally the 3 of them in an isolated Florida motel. The fades in black and some scenes of laconic feelings of character such different and harmonious, are great (my favorite, the scene of the 3 firends plus Eva's boyfriend at the movies)....

(OK) Aldrich as sharp as he uses to be, specially when coping with the end of the gang and Ma at her/his 'noirest' with a machine gun. But its too easy for them to kill, easier than taming Slim. Darby changes too much, that's unconvincing, but that's Aldrich's sharpness...
