(OK) Apart from a weak actor as Scipione; everything is brilliant. From Cabiria to this Scipione mass action in italian cinema is in its peak. Hannibal is so moving loving theforeign land he figths for; Sofonisba is the perfec Cleopatra, her king is a 'don´t ask a madman for his madness' great support character, Isa Miranda is tragic...there are elegant touches between action (as a siluette of a ship depicting the bitter return of Hannibal)...

(Mu) Not only a rounf Rohmer in 4 chapters, but a study of so opposed and complementary characters : a stubborn, naif, intuitive girl from the country and the cold, rational, sometimes anarchic girl form the city...Le heure bleu in the first chapter is as miracolous as le rayon vert

(Alcázar) References to some films and nostalgic item (licorice pizza are the vinils), yeah, but those are details; reference to coming of age, love and playfull jealousy among two wonderfull characters, great natural acting...
