The Human Condition I: No Greater Love review

Posted : 4 years, 8 months ago on 20 September 2020 10:57 (A review of The Human Condition I: No Greater Love)

(OK)Maybe the best of the 3, because mixes exploitation and war, its limits are Kpbayashi's manicheism (bad are too bad), just the good guys discuss and thinks, and repents (the heroe is very repentful, thats nice)...

Posted : 4 years, 8 months ago on 20 September 2020 05:22 (A review of Dirty Dancing)

(YT) I review this because was in a list of sexy films, and is indeed thanks to the sexual dances and to Swayze. The rest ir pure argumental stuff, resuming in the end on a kind of college stage...

Unconquered review

Posted : 4 years, 8 months ago on 20 September 2020 05:20 (A review of Unconquered)

(OK) Trepidant De Mille, a serial for moments, indians are so mixed in evil and good with white people...big compositions of ravage and violence...Cooper is not so strong here, Goddard is better and Kellaway of course...

The Story of the Last Chrysanthemum (1939) review

Posted : 4 years, 8 months ago on 20 September 2020 05:17 (A review of The Story of the Last Chrysanthemum (1939))

(OK) Wonderfull Mizoguchi, before war he was in full domanin of his style and themes. La love of Otaku has everything, is even intellectual; and Kikunosuke reciprocates in his own selfish way. Great composition and following of characters, and momentos of kabuki...

Body Heat (1981) review

Posted : 4 years, 8 months ago on 13 September 2020 01:29 (A review of Body Heat (1981))

(OK) Dont' like heat as a sexy device, that´s my personal distance with a film that abuses it; but besides that reiterative item, the noir logic is weel driven to the end...

Posted : 4 years, 8 months ago on 13 September 2020 01:27 (A review of The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea)

(OK) Mishima in english shores, interesting stuff with a cynical boy spying in sexy mother, as the beginning a a horror we don't see and has nothing to do with the dreams and fantasies of the sea....

Husbands and Wives review

Posted : 4 years, 8 months ago on 13 September 2020 01:04 (A review of Husbands and Wives)

(ok) The docu style is just an accesory, the force and the fun is in directing and acting, less hilarious more concealed with the drama of splitting and reuniting marriages...

Cómicos (1954) review

Posted : 4 years, 8 months ago on 13 September 2020 01:02 (A review of Cómicos (1954))
