The Raid review

(OK) Fregoneseis so underrated that this more than western, a town put in the dilemma of heroes and cowards, with just the needed characters and time, so well directed and staged... is a surprise

Timetable review

(YT) Interesting guy, Mark Stevens. Here he plays cop and robber, at teh same time, and has some moments with Felicia Farr. Mexican location is ok.

The Girl Who Had Everything review

(OK) Weak remake of "A free soul", Liz has too matura lines for her age and frivolity. Lamas is the cliche latin semental, Powell is drinking as usual

The Female Animal review

(YT). If it were for the beginning reprised at teh end, a big Hollywood scene mounted for the plot, would deserve 3 stars. Sterling has good bitchy dialogues against men. Nader is a semental, Lamarrvelous is ok. Powell is lousy and miscast.

Dishonored Lady review

(YT) She is ravaging. at her peak of beauty and real acting in some moments. Stevenson accompanies her well till the plot becomes a naif love story with O'Keefe. Loder (Lamarr's husband) is better.

The Strange Love of Martha Ivers review

Melodrama noir by a Mielestone commited to his material. There's a bit of real destructive passion between Heflin and Stanwyck, specially in the hill bonfire sequence. Douglas is great in his debut.

The Hitch-Hiker (1953) review

This a thriller, tense and one logn unstoppable idea, bravo Ida. Talman is a great bad man and deserves all the closeups he has and he steals to O'Brien and Lovejoy

Manhandled review

(YT) Irresistible cast, Lamour, Hayden and Duryea are above the clisรฉs and the absurd plot of a psycologist that uses the dream of a client (Napier) to commit a stupid crime...

Walk a Crooked Mile review

Douglas is always ok, but this mccartyist plot is so weak.. Hayward puts english elegance and O'Keefe is a gentleman, bah

He Walked by Night review

(YT) Just for the close ups of Basehart in front of the mirror (staring himself or treating a bullet hurt) ant the frustrated escape throught the sewers
