The Rose Tattoo review

Rare film, the semi rural Louisiana suburb atmosphere, the surroundings of Anna´s house, collides with the theatrical text. I like the result, mostly becuase of Anna, sexy, crazy, mystical in every frame. Lancaster is risible at her side.

The Fake review

I love the argument: the bad one is right, the good ones are imbeciles conspiring to make the real badmen win. I'd love to watch it with humans.

The Only Game in Town (1970) review

Stagey in spite of good Decae's photo and Stevens directorial touches, because its episodic with long dialogues; but ypu canfeel the desert peopled by machines and bets of Las Vegas, through Liz's window.

They Came Together review

Nice, cute, funny little, NY, metalinguistic romantic comedy. It laughs at all the topics and cliches of its genre.

Five Miles to Midnight review

Inverosimile plot, 'dead' Perkins can't stay with Loren if the film doesn't bild up a psycho atmosphere. An Litvak doesn't. Loren is forced to some histrionic moments, but they´re not enough.

The Emperor of Peru review

So rare and subversive film for kids. Liz, the older, tells Hoang, the refugée, that he is gonna marry his mother and kiss her as in TV, !and it sounds so naif! Good ol Micky Rooney is dignified with his locomotive.

Coherence review

Simple, effective, it goes ok till the confusing and mathematic middle, but ends in a good stroll of Em gazing through windows to her other realities.

Five Star Final review

How strong and determined to say something was Warner and Le Roy's films in the aerly 30s. One of the most direct indictments against press, even is too obvious in some texts. Nice touch Aline MacMahon in love witg Robinson, and pervert Karloff posing as priest.

The Male Animal (1942) review

Amused by some modern quotations to Sacco and Vanzetti, communism, anarchism and liberalism/humanism against and above all, plus screwball psico geender stuff. Everything so slight. Nice cast, Eugene Palette great. He uses the word 'wishywashy'.
