(OK) Never so many stars wasted (maybe in "The puppy is also a flower"), but here they have entire scenes as Robinson, Garson, Leigh and Curtis, Novay, Sinatra and Martin, Lemmon in woman's disguise, etc. But Pepe is treates with such paternalism and clisés that Cantinflas seems to be a little ashamed.

(MU) The naiveté of not so early nudies, in this case with a terror/fantastic touch of a puppet being caressed or hit and that, as arbitrary as possible, being reproducen in the main character. The freak is interesting...

(MU) Akin's non pretentious effectiveness, versatile in themes but always with his transversal islamic/mulicultural informal explossive behaviour, with romantic touches and here, a choral protagonism brought by gastronomy...simple and corny

(OK) Good point of departure, Leigh's idea of a ideal furlough as a prize for isolates soldiers; but the bombshell Linda Cristal distracts the idea (it is supposed that the other men are well informed of what's passing and ypu don'd see them till the end) ; it goes better when romance between Curtis and Leigh prevails, vene woth clisés of french and love...

(MU) Sick and neat, a surprise revisiting this underrated film. The obsessions of class (the quality of business cards is amazing, the restairant reservations) are as sick as the fantasies (you don't know they are) of psycho killing...

(MU) Rare, Leth is such a good sport that accpets with obedience every Von Trier's idea and does it with gusto. in thouse and in how hy Lars expain them is the film essense
