(Plane) Individualism and magic realism whimsically located in a colombian village, the violence is as fantasdtic as the magic and gifts of each character of familia Madrigal. The scheme is more Marvel than Disney (each hero a super power) but the feelings are so Disney...

(YT) Jannings is so pro that helps Dupont to achieve this deliberately loose and grotesque realism (every german realism are rooted in expressionism)...

(OK) Freda have cinemascope and Bava's camera work (a pity I saw a poor copy) and a fine script with the wonderfull idea of aging when angry Giana Maria Canale (it's so good the works when repeated). Poor men cast, all of them are mediocre and look alike.

(MU) As delicate and tender as the huge shy bodybuilder, trying to find -and miraculously succeeding- a wife in Thailand, great acting in a fluent film

(MU) Zanussi made his debut with a constant: the individualist guy who thinks he is illuminate. Here is neat and simple as the snowy landscape, the lost hero tries to change the life of his recluded friend and finds a kind of quietness he lacks...

(YT) So pioneer, so mature, so fresh, well administeres in intriguen humur, tenderness, women are brave and collaborative or evil as Irma Vep/Musidora. Guerande's mother is wonderfull in the episode where she is rapted. Pure anticpation. Mezanette great character for relief...

(OK) Good progression of excellent Pellegrin into a gangsters pal, doccumentary 'hatawayian' look sometimes, and then the melodramatic side (the flic is brother in law to Pellegrin, the girl who betray the gang...), well balance.

(OK) In spite of its washed up moral (they cant even pronnounc the word prostitution), its so delicate, moving, well acted, wonderfully photographed; the lasta farewell dance with Vivien¿s guilty eyes fixed on Taylor's badge and the classy tradition in implies....

(MU) Pretty still photos, wonderfull color alternated with b/w; uneasy narrated, seems to be involuntarily playing deconsttuction...

(OK) One of the first films I see in my life; kind of aged fantasy with a loose and overrated comment on the system, but in fact too generic oppositios between people who likes tough unnatural materialistic stuff as disecated animal and the opposite, mote through the chldren's eyes than form the cat's eyes....
