(OK) Daves dramatizing romance and familiar intolerance (Beulah Bondi is the heavy mother, Travers is the gool father), with Eleanor as sensitive girl just in love with Morgan. Secondary characters are a bit distracting...

(OK) Swan song of Wise is a TV film woth a Rod Serling teleplay, good cast (Falk in a histrionic jewish grumpy old man), Nastassa in a small role, Ruby Dee idem. Contrast of characters with dramatic tender ending (both have a similar loss) and stripping hipocrisy always functions...

(OK) Rush is a poor director for this Carver material. The man stuck with his things in tha yard, selling them, total looser making some friends...sans brio...

(OK) Little big scope, small star cast (poor harsh hero Gene Barry, lovable Angie the big heroine, Lee Van Cleef as an amoral communist, Marc Dalio, non actor Nat King Cole), soldiers looking for wars, inventing one with the passion of fighting against commies...

(OK) Requiem for the duel of war; a soldier harpist, becomes a monk, the post war with a few acrios, d¿fields od corpses and peacefull music, more comteplative than moving. 3 years later, Ichikawa changed mood and filmed the horror of war in "Nobi"...

(YT) Not enough for swan song, this last Donen, his only tvfilm. The teathrical background could be transposes to the city and the senate, but this is austere. Laura Linney is good actress, but Weber is so bad....

(OK) Fuller dignifies the not so bright stuff of scientist in stubborn mission and a more stubborn mercenary captain (a woman in the submarine awakens bestial machism). Francen is a gentleman, Widmark is hemsielf and Darvi is nice....Fuller makes some pretty dramatic compositions with the scope and the red filters...

(OK) Disney style, Orwell stuff, well told helped by narration in off. There are some nice montage secuence, and the collective feeling of singing in gutural syllabes near the fire...

(OK) Episodic, irregular, the birth of Israle in soties of almost accidental figjters, one with englisg flegme and romance, the other with irony and conversion to faith (the ticker of a booked tour to Jerusalem is an irony in itself), the third one with kind of humour, with a nazi lost in any war. The end , with the UN patrol deciding, by the deads and flags who won a hill, is round...

(OK) Sad decline for Wise. Can't even recall echoes of West side story in the tugurized NY streets, abandoned buildings and rooftops. The capoeira/fight dancing fgringo style, is a loose end, not even a plot....
