(OK) Once again I see Bergman and Kurosawa, and the middle or mixture of west and east philosophy: wester cosmogony war inspired and eastern religios plantin a tree and waiting, and the miniatura phase of the house formt that little mute monk that seems to be the child...oh and the long ending with Josephson in a robe with the ying and yang tha don't know why, recall Nakadai wandering in the end of Ran...

(OK) Its hard to get inside the film, after all that earth prologue; but once there, and with the dead woman appeared, the philosophical existential density of dialogues with Snawt, in that wonderfu contrasted set design of futistic spaceship aisle and classical diner room; and he woman agonizing, the ingravity momen, just for that all is worth...

(OK) The first time I saw it in the 1991 Berlinale; all was so new then. Today is history and choice and estetics in near perspective and the testimony of Tom, that could'nt be less elocuent and brave than his men...

(OK) Muy bien al comienzo, misterio, fondo reivindicativo, tensión de clase, raza y política; gran atmósfera visual y sonora envolviendo a la caza, con el elemento fantástico que ahoga al militar, buenas crisis internas en el grupo; pero se va desbarrando a la apología de la leyenda, la brujería maya, la mística intercultural, apagando el drama y los caracteres construidos...

(NX) The first half seems repetitve, with old poor material trying to convince us that life in Jened was nice for the handicaped. But, thats showed after and better in what they've done: a movement to force USA and the world to build ramps and makind cities accesible...

(OK) The stars are the characters (Cassius, Malcolm,Jim Bown, Sam Cooke), in a filmed play, too discursive but some moments are well staged or referred, as the highlight: Cooke in a spirited show in Boston as told by Malcolm X
