Peterloo review

Posted : 5 years, 2 months ago on 15 March 2020 03:47 (A review of Peterloo)

Love the dialogues, even in the apparent manicheism. The rich bad ones are a bit dumb, but with interesting shades of grey; good ones have many shades, too, and Hunt as que wrong pacifist is excellent...

El Pepe: A Supreme Life review

Posted : 5 years, 2 months ago on 8 March 2020 03:43 (A review of El Pepe: A Supreme Life)

Bien exprimido el personaje, Kusturica, lo mira cachondo, lo sigue, lo provoca y lo pesca peleando con otro uruguayo, romántico con su mujer, soltándole dos o tres respuestas vitales, historiando todo...

Posted : 5 years, 2 months ago on 8 March 2020 03:14 (A review of Dark Waters)

Good intentions, too long defense and a very vague cause that looosens protagonism of the affected. Haynes just follows the plot, uninspired...

Posted : 5 years, 2 months ago on 2 March 2020 10:05 (A review of The Edge of Democracy)

Bien contado aunque la directora la perdona la vida al PT y victimiza a Lula, con el único fugaz argumento de que redujo la pobreza. Ther least from Bong: too much superficial survival of the fittest stuff, too much gore violence, clisés. Just the train idea works ok

Melodrama with the dilemma and abuses of a state behind. But the guilt is not explored in autorithies but in a woman and a child that accodentally (or because of thier work) causes the death and abortion of the only children of a family...
