3 Faces review

Posted : 5 years, 3 months ago on 17 November 2019 03:43 (A review of 3 Faces)

Oh, so simple and personal Jafir. Here descends in simplicity , he and a woman star, and ascends to memory and repression and self ruling in a small etnic town. Women are so advanced as in all Panahi's films. An image: Jafir sees in the distance, 3 women dancing in the old forgotten diva (we never see her) cabin outside the town...

Parasite review

Posted : 5 years, 3 months ago on 17 November 2019 03:39 (A review of Parasite)

Love that characters nad that love gets a bit confused when facing the disruption of the the basemente creepy story. Don't like that, but the film is enough good to support it all

Everybody flirts with everybody including Tv series actress Binoche with a bear kind of writer. A minor Assayas

Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 27 October 2019 03:37 (A review of Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese)

Von Haselberg is a pain in the ass, but has some good material of concert, people speak not so sincere thing to him, but when are gathered singing (Joni Mitchell and Bob, for instance) is good. Boy and Gingsberg before Kerouac's grave in Lowell cemetery is forced.

The Young Karl Marx review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 24 October 2019 12:41 (A review of The Young Karl Marx)

Romantization of two historic/mythial characters that began, in the conventional plot, as enemies. Bah. Marx has some guts, Engels not too much; the final 'edition sequence' appealing to the writing of the Communist manifesto, is aged.

The Hangover review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 24 October 2019 12:38 (A review of The Hangover)

Just to see and understand why Todd Phillips was the man for "The Jojer". Can't findthe answer in this predictable deliberate calculated macho Las Vegas comedy.

The Hangover review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 24 October 2019 12:34 (A review of The Hangover)

Just wanted to see how eficcient was Todd 'The Joker' Phillips. Mmmhh, some good scripts gags, not too much in the direction or acting, but violent stuff...

Leave No Trace review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 24 October 2019 12:31 (A review of Leave No Trace)

To the bone, the final crisis of a nice stubborn idiot father running from society, even when he finds a comunity of nice people. His daughter is the rebellious conscience that wants to stay, and she stays and he respectfully departs

Who's Got the Black Box? review

Posted : 5 years, 4 months ago on 20 October 2019 11:22 (A review of Who's Got the Black Box?)

Le Dr Kah amuses in Morocco, the black box is here in Greece, up and down the channel of Corinto. Seberg and Ronet and Bouquet just wander throgh cemeteries. The action scenes are lousy.
