Darkest Hour review

Posted : 7 years, 1 month ago on 24 January 2018 08:50 (A review of Darkest Hour)

Churchill, his witt and his whisky state of mind, is a common place. Awful ending with the people in the subway; but some fine moments when he doubts and hesitates and has to listen to Chamberlain (very good Ronald Pickup) and Halifax.

Desert Legion review

Stubborn Ladd is ok. Shangrila in the dessert is a bit corny, and Conte is a not enough powerfull bad man. Dahl is beautiful but she is a poor actress.

Lady Bird review

Posted : 7 years, 1 month ago on 24 January 2018 06:27 (A review of Lady Bird)

One of those good films of rebel without a cause adolescent before leaving home and going to NY. Laurie Metcalf as the frustrated and envious mother, affected because of Lady Bird lying about her origins, and his boyfirend gayness, are good bonus.

Around the World in 80 Days (1956) review

Just for the thrill of identifying the greatest cast of all. Cantinflas and Niven are the guides to do so. The film goes better in train than in boat. The USA segment is better than the oriental ones.

Un Quijote sin mancha review

Posted : 7 years, 1 month ago on 14 January 2018 04:56 (A review of Un Quijote sin mancha)

The Summit review

Posted : 7 years, 1 month ago on 14 January 2018 04:44 (A review of The Summit)

Hangman's Knot review

Posted : 7 years, 1 month ago on 14 January 2018 04:41 (A review of Hangman's Knot)

The one and only Huggins film, is worth a second viewing. The bads are heroics and the posse is composed of the bad guys. Well, Lee Marvin is always an exception, and Donna Reed is always a determined girl.

Sodom and Gomorrah review

Posted : 7 years, 1 month ago on 14 January 2018 04:39 (A review of Sodom and Gomorrah)

Aldrich play for spectacle, as De Mille, but sexier and with more spaguetti and peplum and sadism. Anouk is lesbian with his eyes; Baker is always with a hard on, Podesta is always willing, Pier Angeli is as handsome as ever

Blade Runner 2049 review

Posted : 7 years, 1 month ago on 14 January 2018 04:36 (A review of Blade Runner 2049)

Some good scenes, Villeneuve take the right time, to have good Gosling disucssing love with his artificial mate, with Ford. Chief Wright seems less wiser than Ryan and than the bad ones.
