Boy and the World review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 3 August 2016 06:59 (A review of Boy and the World)

Nice animation, confusing simbolic story. Abstraction, chaotic reiteration of the elusive father figure, makes the film get lost.

Song of the Sea review

Pretty animation. Moore has a style ahead of the story. Landscape superior to human animation, sea superior to earth.

Vinicius review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 1 August 2016 02:32 (A review of Vinicius)

The cast of interviews is superb; but the fiction of two narrators inside the documentary, delivering Vinicius poetry instead of his music, is awful.

The Savage Innocents (1960) review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 1 August 2016 02:25 (A review of The Savage Innocents (1960))

Queen is the archetypical bon sauvage. Photography and sense of landscape is way ahead the depicting of the people. But the text is audacious in dealing with eskimos sex life.

Ricki and the Flash review

Demme is happy with this as corny as powerfull stuff. Springfield really acts and Meryl really performs in the band.

The Millionairess review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 1 August 2016 02:22 (A review of The Millionairess)

The worst Asquith. Loren is more than ok but Sellers is depressed (you can't believe Loren is after him), De Sica is stereotipical.

In Secret review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 1 August 2016 02:20 (A review of In Secret)

Great story, well understood, well narrated in a eliptical way. If it weren't so 'froid' and 'academic' in its direction (in spite of a good Lange performance, superior to Olsen and Isaac)....

He Ran All the Way (1951) review

Posted : 8 years, 10 months ago on 20 July 2016 12:38 (A review of He Ran All the Way (1951))

The romantic touch has aged, but the exposition when Garfield runs (the best actor to be haunted by the police ant the bad luck) and finds Shelley in the pool is great.

Body and Soul review

Posted : 8 years, 10 months ago on 20 July 2016 12:36 (A review of Body and Soul)

More soul than body when Palmer loves Garfield. Body and soul in superb dosis when Garfield attacks and reacts. I love this.

Force of Evil review

Posted : 8 years, 10 months ago on 20 July 2016 12:33 (A review of Force of Evil)

Absolutely pioneer in its attitude ans theme, as harsh as lyric, Garfield so moirish that becomes white heat. Dialogues to write an essay on.
