A Monster with a Thousand Heads review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 29 August 2016 10:04 (A review of A Monster with a Thousand Heads)

Thriller antisistema con una protagonista sobregirada pero coherente en su moralidad. El hijo adolescente le hace buen contrapunto con su indolencia, que resulta en sensatez. Lo bueno es que se decanta rápido.

From Afar review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 29 August 2016 09:59 (A review of From Afar)

Venezuela es solo el perfecto telón de fondo de esta suerte de 'vírgen de los sicarios' donde la fatalidad del cariño de un viejo a un joven es similar, pero acá con ajuste de cuentas.

Embrace of the Serpent review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 29 August 2016 09:57 (A review of Embrace of the Serpent)

Caravan review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 21 August 2016 10:37 (A review of Caravan)

OK adventure melodrama, ambiguous good & evil. Jean Kent as the 'carmaenesque' gypsy is better than Anne Crawford. Granger is looking for Hollywood and he derserves so.

The Light at the Edge of the World review

Freaky Verne story. Excellent cast. Duel Douglas vs Brynner pays ok. Eggar goes from innocence to scheme very well.

Viva review

Cuba attracts all kind of directors that beleive cubans can be as free as them. Or pose as if they believe so. Lovable main character, elegant gay boy.

The Innocents review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 21 August 2016 10:25 (A review of The Innocents)

Impossible not to succeed with such a great story. Even everyvbody talks in french beinn in Poland, even you miss most of the action, even main character is a little weak, there you have it. The main nun with a sexual disease, praying while she leave a child to die. all the topics and dilemmas on childbirth and abortion and being free are here.

Ok de and reconstruction of a nontraditionak family where mother (war photgrapher) is the irresponsible and travelling parente. Byrne has to cope with a difficult mama's boy (Devin Druid al good as his elder Jesse Eisenberg).

The Sea Chase review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 12 August 2016 07:02 (A review of The Sea Chase)

Lana is better than Duke, too american hero to act as a german. The sea motif is ok but direction lacks of other Farrow's narrative sharpness.

Dangerous review

Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 12 August 2016 06:57 (A review of Dangerous)

Modern in its approach to a liberal professional woman, not in a vamp mood; but conservative if you consider she is a bitch with his men. The beginning and consolidation of Bette´s myth.
